Opus Klassik Award Ceremony

Receiving the Opus Klassik Award for my album RØTA and performing with the wonderful Orchestra of the Konzerthaus Berlin and maestro Cornelius Meister on German television program ZDF, was an incredible experience and I’m so grateful and happy to have had this opportunity.

I’m incredibly happy and so grateful to receiving an Opus Klassik award for my album Røta!
This album wouldn’t have happened without my wonderful colleagues performing on this album as well Mario Häring (piano) and Benedict Kloeckner (Cello) and also the great team behind, Marcus and Max from Berlin Classics, Antonia, Sina and Jonas form Grunau & Paulus Music Management, Kristina Patzelt and Hasko Witte from the Büro für Künstler, The WDR, the arranger Tormod Tvete Vik, Dextra Musica and my family of course.
Thank you so much to everyone involved for joining and believing in this project!
With Røta, I wanted to present the combination of the two instruments that has become my musical identity; the violin and the Hardanger fiddle, which is the national instrument of Norway. On this album I have taken the two traditions further with special arrangements of pieces where the composers have been inspired by Norwegian folk music and fairy tales. That journey has been incredibly exciting and inspiring to me.
Thank you so much to OPUS Klassik for this award!
