OPUS KLASSIK AWARD FOR RØTA!

My album RØTA receives the OPUS KLASSIK AWARD in the category classic without borders!

I’m incredibly happy and so grateful to receive an OPUS KLASSIK award for my album RØTA in the category "classic without borders!"
This wouldn’t have happened without my wonderful colleagues performing on this album as well, Mario Häring and Benedict Kloeckner. Thank you for joining this project and a huge thank you to everyone involved: Berlin Classics, WDR, Grunau & Paulus Music Management GmbH and Büro für Künstler - Hasko Witte GmbH!
With Røta, I wanted to present the combination of the two instruments that has become my musical identity; the violin and the Hardanger fiddle. On this album I have taken the two traditions further with special arrangements of pieces where the composers have been inspired by Norwegian folk music and fairy tales. That journey has been incredibly exciting and inspiring to me.
I am really looking forward to playing at the Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg on September 23rd and especially to the award ceremony on October 10th, where I will also perform and which will be broadcast on the same evening on the German TV channel ZDF!
I'm also really excited for this November when I will be touring in Germany with my RØTA programme, together with the wonderful Mario Häring and Benedict Kloeckner (13.11. - 19.11.2021).
